Brockage

In numismatics, the study or collection of money and coins, an imperfect coin.

Example usage: Brockages occur when a coin remains in either the top or bottom die. The stuck coin now has both an obverse and reverse and is a perfectly good coin at this point. But then along comes a blank coin, a planchet. Now the original coin becomes a die and stamps the planchet. The raised surfaces of the stuck coin inscribe an exact reproduction of the coin, but in intaglio instead of relief.
